Do any of you guys know what that little bolt, size 10mm, that's on the left side of the engine, by the brake pedal? earlier today, we took it off, while the engine was runnin', and felt air comming out of it, then after a while, (that was right after an oil change), oil came out of it? Did I screw anything by unbolting it? Did I let air in the system or something???

PLease answer !!

Yeah man, it's the one right at the bottom, size 8 I believe, right under the two oil tubes bolts. Is it a bad Idea to take it off while the bike runs, or just take it off period?

maybe its ur oil check bolt, or a oil bolt that runs through suttin???

nah run without it...its a trail bolt....the oil you leak outta that hole will be a reference to get you back to where you started:D

If I am correct. I think I am. That bolt is safe to take out while its sitting and running on flat surface, but put it back in. The purpose of that bolt is to check the engine oil level while the engine is running. If the engine is level not much or very little oil should come out. The bolt goes through into the case. If too much oil comes out like if it is pumping out fast or if you look in and can't see any oil and the oil tank is filled to the correct level you have a problem. But since it is a dry sump motor the oil pump is used to keep the correct amount of oil in the motor and that bolt is only to check if the level is correct. :D

Why did you take the bolt off in the first place?? Well you shoulda known what it was before you took it off if you have an explnation why you took it off

Thats the bolt I take out to finish getting all the oil out of the case when Im doing an oil change, not a good idea to remove while running.
