Idea's for new qaud project?

After I get my two bikes back togother I plan on buying another 4-wheeler or a dirtbike.


I either want to buy a 250x or 300ex.And go completly through it.Repowder coat everything.I have never had a fast 4-stroke.And would like to kick some 400 butt on a small bike.

Or buy another R.Go through it to.Leave it stock width and basicly stock motor.Not nearly as fast as the one I got now.This will just be a playbike.


I am going to have around 2 grand.If I want another R.I realized I would have to save up more.So right now I am thinking the 300ex or 250x.It would be nice to have another R though.

jmo.....but one of the best conversions ive riddin was a 350x engine in a 250x. it was a blast to ride.

You know I thought about that.A buddy of mine has a 90 something 250x sitting at his house with a 350x motor in it.Just sitting outside rusting away.I know it runs.It is way way to loud though.I was thinking about buying that.I need to get my other bikes going first.I plan on buying something else when I get my taxes back.

go to a 40oex instead or do what kenny said

want a 400ex i will sell it to you with a 250x engine in it so you can mod it to the max and still be slower than a real 400

That is a good idea to.The thing about that is.It wouldn't be a project.Well I guess it would.Just not what I was thinking about doing.There is no way I would tear a bike apart.That really doesn't need it.

How about get a Mojave and mod that thing out...A-arms, shocks, FST big bore.. like the one on fst's site.

Ah never been much of a mojave guy.My cousin has one that is pretty moded.And while it is fast.It felt like a sqaure.Not very good geometry if you ask me.I hope I didn't offend anyone.

I would go with a 250x. That's what I would to get ahold of. I've got a 300ex that i've been rebuilding. But a 250x just would be to fun to play with. You now a 330 and all.

well in your sig it says you have a 300ex , thats a great project start, get a 352cc job from powroll and tons of chassis mods and put tons of 300ex stickers all over it, dont tell that it is a 352 , just so when the raptors and 400exs see you beating em they say "i got killed by a stock 300ex???????"

The 300ex in my sig is my dads.He lets me ride it.I can't do anything to the motor or a pipe or anything.He wants it to be quiet.I wish he would though.Your right it would be a good start.

Wow I was just at LRD's website.

For exhaust,port and polished the head,race cam,rockers,carb,piston,the valve guides and springs keepers,bigger valves.And that is just an over bore.

Over 2 grand!Jeez.I don't think I will go that way.I don't want a big bore.Like I said just a playbike.I want it fast though.

I want to make a real nice 250X... best thing about it is, they are really compatible with the 300ex, so lots of parts out there! I want to get an Odysse, or Pilot also and make it real nice!
