it's really not that hard. Go to youtube, there are tond of instructional videos. Just make sure you buy good tint. The cheap stuff looks purple once applied.

You definitely want to start squeegeeing from the center out. Some start at the top to hold it in place better on small windows and work down. Small windows are relatively easy compared to large, contoured rear windows on a car. You shouldn't have to shape the tint with a heat gun. Make sure to never use cleaning products that contain ammonia because they will discolor your tint. Good luck.

thanks for the reply, do i have to take out the rubber seal to put the tint on? because it looks hard with a framed window, to not show any untinted glass.

Theres a guy on ebay that sells precut tint for different models. This was my first time tinting with precut and I tell you what, it looks 10 times better than what I could have done by cutting it myself. The tint is perfect size so no trimming needed, I started at the top and worked my way down so I could keep a tight edge on the top of the window. I had one bubble I couldn't get out but I left it alone and the heat from the sun fixed it. For the price I would go with precut, it saves alot of time. I did my 2 side windows in probably 20 minutes.

Depends on your state, MI laws say no tint on the front sides but they won't bother you to much with 35% and up. The local tint shops won't go any lower that 35% on the front sides around here unless its a show car.

illinois is NO tint on the front windows and no lower than 6inches on ure windshield. Ive been really lucky so far to not have any problems with the cops. But my day is coming non the less.
