go to a notary and get the title changed to you. they'll fill you in on what else(if anything) your state requires.

Im kinda in the same situation but the guy who is selling financed the quad and the finance company has the title. Should I continue with a bill of sale? Im in Oregon and we do have titles on quads but they arent required to be licensed or registered. Im not sure what to do

get a notarized bill of sale preferable with a couple witnesses also signing. could also be present when he sends the ballance of the amount owed to the financial institution just to make sure he actually sent it.

Go to the clerks office pay a 6-10 title transfer fee and pay taxes on the current value of the quad.

It's simple if you have anymore questions PM me.
