HMF Quiet Core???

For those of you that have the quiet core in yoaur exhaust I was wondering if it is a removable insert or if it is an integrated part in the silencer. and also does the silencer have a spark arestor in it

yes it is a separate part... and it does have a spark arrestor integrated in it..

not to hijack, but is there any performance loss with it?

It is slightly noticeable...low-end power is effected I think...I have one but I dont like it or use it...but it does quiet the exhaust down quite well...

I have one in my 400ex. IMO its not much quieter at all. HMF says 96 to 98 dbs but i think its higher than that. HMF also claims youll lose 1hp only on the top end with it in. low and mid hp doesnt change at all.

you WILL NOT notice a power difference with it in or with out it.. if it is its very minimal... i use mine and i like the way it sounds with it in...
