Head Pipe?

So If I but a FMF head pipe will my Silp on muffler (White brothers E seriers) work on that? and would that be about the same as buying a complete exhuast?

yes it should work.. and yea it would be the same as buying the full exhaust but idk how the white bros headers are but it will work... i have the hmf slip on with an fmf powerbomb header!!

You could just port the headpipe and it would be the same thing.

Use a dremel tool and open up the first inch or so of each side on your head pipe *where it mounts up to the head).

Same difference. It just didnt cost 200 bucks.;)

i'm running the FMF Hi Flo stainless headers with a White Brothers exhaust. it's not an e series it's an E2 but it should fit up without any problems. mine did :D

I am not toally convinced that is true. Look closely how the 2 pipes on the factory part merge together. The top one merges into the "Y collector" and immediately hits a 45 degree "wall" while the lower pipe has an almost straight shot thru the "Y collector"( see 1st photo). I am not a complete expert but I have designed a few very successful exhaust components, and this design is not optimum for airflow or the pulse scavaging it takes to optimize an exhaust system.

Then look at every aftermarket header system and you will see a uniform "Y collector"(see 2nd photo). This could make a big difference in airflow/scavaging of the exhaust.

Sure, it ain't gonna be 10 HP (on a 400) but IMHO it will make a difference and even more of a difference than just smoothing the inlets on the head pipes.
