It's cool, trans isn't. Who wants a automatic, or a "clutchless manual".

Ugh....they changed the interior.

The interior setup of the original concept was awesome....much more sleek...also had a standard w/ pistol grip.

Still a bad a$s car..

Well, here....the concept interior.

2009 Toyota Supra eqquiped with a 5 liter V8 engine producing 450 hp and 383 lbs-ft of torque. It is expected the V8 Supra to be priced about 50000$. The more affordable Toyota Supra (40000$) will come with a 3.5 liter V6, the same powerplant used in the Lexus IS 350 and GS 350, but tuned to produce more power: 350 hp and 275 lbs-ft of torque.

There you go and you get great quality and great interior.

since when do toyotas have such nice interiors? there nothing special either. My srt4 has a very plain interior, and come to think about it , I LIKE IT.

i dont like all these "trick" buttons and screens that show temp and stuff. I like turn nobs that are simple to use and i like to haul ***.

and come to think about it your talking about a 2009 car. YOU dont know what could change from now untill 2009 with there car plans. Look at the chance in alot of cars from the concept to the final production. quit trying to act like you know it all, you know nothing.

toyotas have nicer interiors then dodge or most american cars. AND you said to show you a car that is close to that price with similar hp and I did and i guess its just hard to admit that your wrong

ok lets rephrase the question... show me a muscle car thats nicer with similar horsepower. and that means that toyota, bmw, audi... ect are all OUT. granted they can get up and go but they never had a muscle car before. toyota just decided to jump into this new "muscle car" market with a car that was made famous by putting turbos and ricer exhausts and **** on them. thats not muscle...

Ive been a diehard mopar fan all my life. Aside from my 05 srt4 everything dodge has made after 2002 has sucked big time. I hate it all. The new challenger looks cool but thats about it. Same with the srt8 chargers not having a manual trans. Its friggin lame and i wont buy a car like that with a auto trans ever. ***s drive cars like that with automatics. And i didnt know toyota was bringing back the supra with a v8. Thats a discrace to the supras of the past. Give me a inline 6 turbocharged engine making 1000hp. Not a stupid v8. Its like mazda bringing back the rx line with no turbo rotary motor. Its a waste.

Nissan is also bringing the skyline to america soon. Except its got a v8 as well and will cost about 80,000. That to is a discrace to the skyline of past gens.

I know i wont be buying a brand new vehicle anytime soon. Everything out there is junk and does nothing for me at all.

well lets see i can think of a certain chevy two seater that up until the zr1 was within that price range and made those numbers look like complete ****. oh wait i apologize maybe the z06 was more expensive to but go previous to that and watch that challenger get shat on

and if any of you guys that are complaining about interiors...
, there should be steering wheel, pedals and a shifter...that would be a true muscle car.

no a/c, no power locks/windows...no 6disc CD changer, with satelite radio..blah blah blah...

lol n00b. The skyline (now just GT-R) is a Twin turbo 3.5 v6, not a v8. A v8 would make it slow.

Hmmm msrp of $40,095, huh? Dealers only going to get one each? Anyone want to guess what the "market adjustment" will be? I bet you will be able to get one for less then $50,000.

I actually like the look of them, if they came with a manual trans I might think of buying one. (Oh yeah, and get it for msrp, like THAT will happen!)

Just so everyone knows dodge used/ is using the same body from the 70's challenger/cuda. Just a modern everything else. But the body is the same. lol

And im sure dealers will be getting more than one SRT style challenger. They said that about all the other srt vehicles when they came out. And i got my SRT4 for msrp. I even special orderd it too.

And being that i own an srt vehicle i get to look at the challengers and get dibs to buy one first at my dealer here. Though i wouldnt buy one anyways. i might jsut go test drive it. put it through the stress test. LOL

Yeah, but the SRT-4 was more "mass produced". How many do they make a year, I would guess quite a few.(Besides, it is a four cylinder rice rocket.:D Just messing with you!)I remember when the Dodge Magnum RT's came out, dealers around here were tacking on a extra $3,000 to them! For a regular V-8 Magnum!

When Ford came out with the GT500 last year, local dealer that I went to got 10 of them, all but one was presold. I could have bought the last one, $10,000 over msrp. I said no thanks, and walked away. Trust me, these will not go for less then MSRP, unless Dodge plans on making 100,000 of them the first year. (I doubt it.)

The total number of srt4s made from 03 to 05 is 13 thousand something. The first year they only made like 3500 or so. My 05 srt4 acr in white is one of 1000 ever made. Ive seen so many srt4s in wreck theres probably only 10,000 left. lol

for the rarest 2nd gen neon ever made yeah. msrp for my car was 23,185.:D

The rarest neon of all is the 1996 plymouth acr sedan in nitro acid yellow green. there were only 16 made. the dodge version there were 23 made.

you must be related to my gf's cousin! He's as much of a Neon freek as you lol.... the ACR's were a suspension package and pretty stripped down? werent they? or was there things done to the motor?

NJ450rider
02-08-2008, 12:02 PM
Yeah acr stands for American Club Racer. It was a stripped down version with better handling/suspension. The first acr neons in 95/96 you had to have an SCCA license to order/buy one. But that changed after 96. 97 to 99 acr neons anyone could buy. And people did buy them not even knowing what they had. LOL I had a black 97 acr coupe that was a great car. (one of 1800 ever made lol) acr neons are one of the best budget autocross cars you can buy next to a miata.

In 2000 there was no acr neon. they were brought back in 01 to 02. They were horrible because the 2nd gen neon is a tank compaired to 1st gen neons. something like 500 to 600 lbs more. 03 to 05 there is no more acr neons. Until march 05 when mopar/pvo announced the srt4 acr would be made in a limited production run and a special half year color white. And thats what i have. My car has quite a few things diff from regular srt4's. mainly in handling and suspension also interior differences.

I even weighed my stripped out 1st gen acr neon when i had it and also have weighed my srt4 acr. jsut to show you the difference in weight.

97 acr neon 2300 lbs:D (miatas are only 2200 lbs!)

05 srt4 acr 3000 lbs :eek2:

700lbs is a HUGE difference. Good thing the srt4 is turbocharged!

Im not really into it as much as i use to be. Having the car is fun. It handles like a dream and is fast as hell. I really need to get a truck very soon. Hopefully by summer. Unfortunalty im going to have to get rid of my srt4.
