I know this sounds kind of dumb to ask but I want to know if anyone else has ever seen one this high. I recently bought a top end to build myself a second motor and it has a lot of work done to it. Apparently the head has been milled way too much and as it sits now it has somewhere between 300-350 psi of compression. I am only guessing this because it wrapped the needle all the way around to the stop. I never ran it this way for fear of blowing my motor but was just wondering if anyone has ever seen anything this high?

There's a guy on here, named Superchris I think, that said he's run them at 300psi. He changes the crank bearings frequently though to keep them fresh.
But yeah, that'd take a hell of a kick!

The guy who kicked it over is Doug the owner of Nac's. He said that was the highest he has ever seen or something like that. I was amazed when I saw it

I have tried three diferent gauges one time because I didnt believe the first reading of 240. It ended up being 219 to be exact. This was from a 295 piston with a stock head. One of the gauges I was able to cal. It had a rubber plug on the back I could adjust the needle.
