timing chain tightness

hey guys i need some help i took a clutch over off my 400 because i thought it might be streached because i found some very small metal fillings in my oil..but the chain seems to be pretty tight..how much slack should there be?? thanks

There shouldn't be any slack at all....just the amount of tightness that the auto tensioner and chain guides allow.
