I have a 1988 250R frame. Will a 400EX swing arm fit in it?

i was wondering the same thing but you better chang the header to (will a 400ex swing arm fit a 250r frame?) bc the header makes no sense at all:D let me know if you find out. or you could mesure the 250r frame and i can mesure my 400ex swinger and see if it will work but the engine mounts diferently in the ex then the r so unless you are putting a ex engine in a r frame then i don't think it will work but i could be wrong.

The R frame has an R motor. That rear motor mount may be a problem.

i'm putting a r engine in my ex frame. from what i see in pictures it shouldn't be that hard and i don't even think that i will need to cut my frame. but i won't know untill i have the r engine and see it sitting in the frame.

ahhhh i see.

actually the fitting of the engine goes quite easily. done correctly you can reuse the front ex engine mounts and wont need to do any frame altering what so ever. you will however need to use a stock rear engine mount(at the swingarm) from an 85-86 atc or an 86-87 trx to get things started.

pm me and i can help ya out on a few things.
