today i stoped in to a dealership to look a pickups and found a '00 ford extended cab 4x4 red with all the bells and whistles. it has 16,000 miles. i was talking to the guys there and the said the could give me 5,000 for mine, 6,000 to 8,000 down, 24,500 for the '00 and 670-690/ mo. i pretty much told them to shove it, i was leavin and in one fwail swoop, said 400/mo and 18,000 for the new ,pay off my current one and no down. i still walked out. i dont think that is a bad deal. but they wouldnt give me an APR, at that stage of the dealings. should i have taken it, i owe about 7,00 on my current.

I just bought my new ride. And got 5.5% ( i did it that way instead of only getting the apr and no rebate. That way i got the 2500 rebate AND low apr from bank) This was a month ago. After the last Fed reduction of half point, the short term rates are lower Than when i bought. Just for your info, i had a 9000 down, and have a beacon of 695. That's enough info to give you a good idea of where your apr should be.

well it sounds like you cant figure it out yourself.

make sure they dont end up tagging your loan on your old truck to the new car loan. sneaky salesman.....or dealer for that matter.
