400ex snow tracks

Hey i am interested in putting tracks on the rear of my 2004 honda 400ex and snowmobile skis on the front for winter. Does anyone know where i can get these, i found a couple different companies that make them but they are for 4x4 only. Any suggestions?

gonna cost you a fortune for them...i think ADBovin still makes them, but not sure.
have you looked into running 4-Snows/Zippers...they seem to work really well.

Kinda sounds like that would be heavy as heck to move around.

No i havent looked into those, nor have i ever heard of them. Any further information would be great. I guess i'll start searching google while i have some time too.

looks like they are just tires. The only reason why i'm looking to put track/skiis on it, is to be able to run it on the snowmobile trails. I dont really have anywhere to ride in the winter with tires because they are banned from all the trails. I wasnt sure if it would be a lot cheaper to do this rather than just to buy a snowmobile.

yeah they are like a paddle tire made specifically for snow. The rubber stays more pliable in the cold and they expand by 40% to get better traction.

even if you do put tracks and ski's on i'm thinkin you'll have a problem with being on the trails. Your quad wont be registered as a snowmobile, and usually thats the stipulation of being able to use a trail system.

it's cheaper to buy a sled but i hate them. i'm selling mine and i'm making a setup to bolt to the front of my ex with plastic racing skis and i'm going to get those track things that wrap around the tires. i don't ride trails just my land so i won't have a problum with all that bs :D look in the newest dirt wheels with a dvx 400 and he just winch straped skis on the front (bad idea imo) and he got 2inch paddle tracks for the back like i was talking about before i'll post all about my ski mod later this month

from what i have seen they are only made in canada and are like $270 US! i would just get paddle tires

I've tried skis up front and paddles in the rear, The paddles just sink. The skis work but you need tracks on the rear to go over anything deep.

I made skis for the front of my 440 and I put paddles in the back and they work really good.I dont get alot of snow in new jersey (still waiting) but it works good in 8-10" packable snow.In non packable snow the skis just sink and ride on the dirt
