I just got the spring 2008 Motosport catalog , there is a new neck brace to compete with the Leatt Brace. Its made by evs & called the RC-Evolution. It comes in youth(50-100lbs),medium(100-150) , & large(150-250). I was wondering if anyone has actually seen one & how they compare to the Leatt? From the pictures they look pretty nice. The best part is the price is only $152.99. This should be alot more affordable foreveryone.

spoke to the EVS rep today and was told that they would be stocked in the US and ready to sell within 90 days.

my opinion is
.. it looks like it would spread out the impact over a wider area than the Leatt,....could be good for shoulders ,but bad for neck ....or maybe its not as sturdy ...most of all ..its hard to say from pics

I would have to have it in hand & compare it to our Leatt brace

If you look close in the picture it seems there are little holes in the piece that goes over your shoulder. I wonder if that is made to attach a chest protector and shoulder cups?

I need to get Deric one of these soon! Definitly worth it no matter what the cost. I have looked at the Leatt and wonder too if the EVS is as strong. looks kinda flimsy in the pictures. I would think you would want it to be very supportive, and not flex much on impact, otherwise it isn't doing it's job in protecting the kneck. i'd rather see my boy break his collar bone or have bruised shoulders than break his neck. I will definitly keep an eye out for the EVS though. Dan.
