you wont need a longer chain and the case saver will not work.

Just curious, why a 16t front? You lookin' to hit the open road?

i was running 22's on the back and dropped down to 20's so i think if i go up to a 16t i can get some top end back also getting ready to install rev-box so that might help a little too. also if the case saver wont work where can i get one that will work ?

If you want to run the numbers try this calculator ^^^

When your using a 16t countershaft sprocket, no case saver will fit.

Im running 16/36 gearing right now, because we were racing for about 2 miles down a completely open road. I dont like the fact that I dont have a case saver on. I have seen what happens when the chain wads up and there is no case saver.

Poor Z400 got mutilated.:(

I usually run 14/36 though...

i have reson to beleive that calculator isn't quite perfectly acturate. it claims that a +1000 RPM's rev box and a 16T frt. sprocket will get you 82 MPH. is that accurate?? if so, i may end up doin that! i ride mainly open roads

Im sure its accurate if your on a dyno. Factor in wind resistance, and think about wether or not your quad has the power to propel you to that speed.

My 440 should run 93mph. I damn sure havent seen it yet. Id say it runs 80-82 tops. And thats after ebing strung out for a LONG time.:ermm:

I'm running 16/38, but you can modify case savers to work with a little grinding. My Nac's billet case saver works just fine with no rubbing. I much prefer the 16T front b/c my quad used to rev out so darn fast with 18" rears and 15T front.
