Can anyone tell me the best way to remove the crankshaft from the left side bearing without the use of Sukuki's high dollar tools.

I have a press that i can use just not sure if the case will hold up to the pressure of pressing it out and then pressing the new crank into the bearing.

Last thing I want to do is crack the case.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Guess there are not as many mechanics with any know how as I once thought there to be. Just turned into another joke, look at mine, forum from what I can tell anymore.

Or it's what pipe should I get or how do I install a kill switch other than that absolutely worthless on this forum.

None the less I took a shot and it worked out, but the how, what and why of this will remain with me. Now that I think about it changing a pipe might be all that most here can handle anyhow.

Ahhh... Bitterness is alive and well on ATVRiders forums! :p

I don't get on here much anymore... Had I seen this sooner, I would've given you some help since I've been riding and wrenching for about 20 years... :o

Glad to hear you got it done sucessfully. Check out Rocky Mountain for specialty tools. They have a crankcase separator for about $60, same with the crank installer.

Last bit of advice... Probably (definitely) get more help on L T R 4 5 0 H Q.com. Remove spaces for actual URL.
