300ex Stock Tires

I was just wondering if I would gain anything if I down sided tires on my 300ex?? The stock tires on it look kinda big,but I don't know this is my first 300ex.:blah:

if you drop to a 20 inch rear it will accellerate faster but you will lose top speed.

Unless you swap out the front or rear sprocket to regear to the appropriate gearing.

yea what they said
example: if u go down to a 20 or 18", and go up a tooth on the i beleive front sproket, u will be pretty close to where u started

Correct.

On the 300ex though, if you go up to a 14 tooth front sprocket you have to grind a little bit of of the chain guide/case saver. Easy to do and only need to take off about 1mm.
