Alright so I'm putting a 440 kit in my 400ex. At the same time I'm putting a +4mm crankshaft in it. What would be my engine size?

go to the 250r thread and there is a thread towards the top the of the first page about this...the formula is .7854 X bore squared X stroke

It would make it roughly a 460

Ok. Well I've heard it would be close to 450, and I've also heard it would be 460, and 465. Just trying to figure it out. Lol Thanks for the help though guys!

stock bore is 85mm stock stroke is 70mm making it a 397.3.

Theres two 440 kits, one is an 89mm and an 89.5..So..

89.5mmX74mm makes 465.7
89mmX 74mm stroke makes 460.5

Using the even 89mm piston will give you one more over bore for a later rebuild.

If you want total ease in calculating cc's download this. It's free and I've had it for years without trouble. Just make sure you set it to metric before you start putting in your numbers.

you all should have learned this in school. (radius)2 x length x pi
or in this case youd have, 44.5 x 44.5 x 74 x 3.1416= 460.4 cc's
