White Bros. Rev Box = XR250 Rev Box

I had a riding buddy of mine (who works down at Powroll on the weekends) ask Tom @ Powroll what he thinks about rev boxes on the 400ex. He said they are fine as long as you don't keep them at the upper limit for long periods of time....(yeah, I know...duh). But, the interesting info he gave me was that the White Brothers Rev Kit, is nothing but a stock XR250 rev box. I'm going to check Service Honda to see if they are cheaper.

Just checked with Service Honda, and the XR250 rev boxes are only $72. That's about $30 to $50 cheaper than the White Bros. rev box. I'm going to do a little more research on this, and then I'm probably going to try it out.

While you are doing some checking, there is another box from something else that will also work on the 400, and will take away the hard starting problems. The person would not tell me from while bike or quad that it came from. It will give the same results as the xr400/WB box but the ex will start just like with the stock box. I think that it comes from the XR650XL with the electric starter, this is just a guess.

the xr box works great but i think terry marcums has a line on a differnt one that also works well hope this helps

My dealer told me that the XR box is the same as the WB's box too. Only whitebros is programmed a nipple hair different.

I paid about 75 bucks for the XR box and ran it for about four months. I removed mine. The longer I had it, the more I didnt like it.

No matter who sells it or what it cost,,there both JUNK..

Big Gun makes a rev box for the 400EX now,,,but their probably junk too,,,who knows!!!!
