The CF1 is Hiper's latest design and is a full Carbon Fiber wheel. Both rims halves AND the Center section are Carbon Fiber. The CF1 is not considered by Hiper to be as strong as the Tech 3. Although it is as strong or stronger than any other wheel out there. Currently the CF1 is not available in a double beadlock rear.

The Tech 3 wheels have the same Carbon Fiber rim halves but have a billet machined Alumninum 6061 T6 Center section. The Tech 3 is available in a double beadlock rear.

I personally think as Hiper gains more experiance with the ALL Carbon wheel they will eventually find it can be made stronger than the current Tech 3.

The CF1 has a limited 1 year warranty. The Tech 3 has an unlimited warranty, you break it they fix or replace it.

Again, I think this is due to the confidence in the tried and true Tech 3 version vs the newer less "battle tested" CF1.

CF1's are for general sport riding

tech 3's are for racing.
