Looking to change my stock rims, got them all bent up front the trails.

Could anyone tell me what are good bedlock rims, for a guy on a budget?

Cant afford the hypers thats for sure, but are the ITP's any good.
I dont really jump,mostlly trail, but I am 230lbs.

Please any info will help me make up my mind. And maybe you know a good place to get them. Rim/tire combo.

Cheers

well i got a rear pair of hipers dual beadlocks for i think 350 from a guy one ebay that has his own store. highlander17 or something like that is his name. he has wicked, wicked prices on hipers but if not ITPs are really good and if you dont want the beadlocks get the re enforced rims. theyre great too

Hd's and razr II's are really good for trails. the Baja's are a good wheel they have dual reinforcement rings on both sides and they hold up to everything.

OEM are among the strongest non bedlock wheels you can get. Save your money for beads.

HiPers or Douglas Wheel yellow labels are the strongest, and best bang for your buck.
OEM rims are strongest non beadlocks, other than the ones I listed above, which you can get non bead locks or beads.

x2. and the Hiper Beadlocks aren't really as expensive as you might think. You can get the Hiper CF1 Carbon Fiber Beadlocks for around $480 a set shipped. If you go and price Douglas and other aluminum beadlocks you will find there is not much of a price difference and the CF1s are probably cheaper than some.

The Hiper Tech3s are more, but still not that much more than most other beadlocks.

You got those mounted fast. They look good. I might have to go out and get some black rings too.

I would keep the red rings. I think the red rings look so much better IMO

Yep, they went together really easy!

ya red may look good but they are only made of plastic. the black ones are mixed with carbon so they are alot stronger. i would personally get the black ones but if you dont ride them hard your alright. id really only worry about if you race mx all the time or race XC

You really need some nerf bars. I would recommend some AC BlackLine ProPegs with Black nets to flow with the rest of your "All Black" theme.

Yes brand new. I think it just looks that way in the photos, they are pretty aggresive in person. The tread is at least as deep or deeper as the new factory stock tires.

I am back and forth on that one. I have bought 2 sets of nerfs so far, didn't like them and sold them.

I just installed my modified 450R Pro Armor PowerGrips yesterday and am very happy with them. Since I have those it opens up a few other options for nerfs(without pegs) and I am looking at a few different ones again.

It is GREAT! Well worth the effort. I have already had to use it 3 times, once on myself (first trip out with it) and twice on others.

Back to rims, has anyone priced or seen the Trail Ready beadlocks?? Came across their website, never seen them before, they seem to be a new player???

THANKS! I appreciate that.

Concerning the Hipers, after I received them today I got an e-mail from the dealer (I guess he got a tracking report from UPS) congratulating me on the "last set of wheels I will ever need to buy".

Pretty cool!

I run ITP C-Series and LOVE THEM!

I've beaten the heck out of em and they arent bent at all and still look great! I think they look awesome on the 400ex also.

And BTW: 08400EX

Your 400ex looks SO SICK with those rims. Even though visually it doesnt have much done, for some reason i think it still is one of the sickest bikes on here with those rims added.
Probably because those plastics look so much more aggresive then the 99-07 400ex's.

Heres my rims:
