well im sure with the water repellant nylon it will restrict air flow more than the K&N and HRC lids will (smaller pores = less air flow, water resistant fabric = a lot less air flow!). Both K&N and HRC will still let dirt and water into air box but if its for a MX application then just run the HRC, K&N, or no lid at all.

I love my K&N Powerlid with OuterWear for XC riding..

I dont have issues with water unless I go river swimming... HEHE!

I have had great luck with the EHS lid. http://www.ehsracing.com/

We run them in Glamis and also the SCORE Baja races. At the dyno we did not see any drop in performance running it.

Look at an Outerwear airbox cover. It is the same materal used for their air filter covers and alot cheaper than the other airbox covers. Plus it is also water repellent.
