I have friends with 400s one has the HMF and one the T-4 both have jst kits and K&N's and 16t sprockets. The one with HMF wins every time not by a lot but you get the idea

My cousin has the HMF slip-on. The low/mid power gains were huge with it tapering away a little on the top end. Another friend of ours had a T-4 on his EX and no matter who was piloting the quad's the HMF always won by about a bike length through 5 gears. It can't be beat for the price.

HMF all the way. I used to have a yoshi, and I would take the HMF over it any day. and I know a couple people with t4's, and none of them impress me as much as my HMF, and it sounds really good too
Plus it is cheaper. Dont wast your money on any other pipe

HMF, It's the only way to go!!!! I think the slip-on has has much power if not better then my old big gun full system. And like GUY said can't beat the price!!!:devil

i just got my T-4 today also, ordered it from Moto-Man.com on tuesday. it sounds sweet, and deffinetly gave more power along with a K&N power kit. i had to use a 170 man jet and a 42 pilot jet, pilot screw 2 1/2 out, which seems high, but the plug was perfect. i tried the 165 first, and it was still poppin like crazy.

Pro Circuit rules!!!!

oh and one question... should i mess with the needle or leave it alone? it runs great but if it would give me more power i'll play with it.

I cant decide.. I think for the price the HMF would be much better, but didnt they raise there prices? One of those HMF's in black (or black chrome) would look really nice  this is just a tuff decision. whats the price tag's on these pipes?

they are both really good, my friend has the HMF, and he likes it, it sounds pretty cool too. the only reason i didn't get the HMF was because he already had it, but i do love my T-4(even though i just got it like 8 hours ago).

I had one on my Warrior and it was really loud. There was a significant power gains in low/mid range. $209 shipped to my door too but thats for a Warrior. LOVE it!

The header pipe is so big that I cant put on a bigger oil tank. I love the pipe. But I rather have a bigger oil tank so when I go to 465 cc it wont run hot.

hows the fit???? im considering a hmf full system or the big gun race full system. what r your thoughts???? is it in good shape???

methyman

It is like a couple months old. It fits good a little close to the oil tank to get on, but it fits good. Loud also. It had more low end then my Curtis Sparks X-4 pipe.

hmmmmmmmmm...........i dont mind loud cuz i know the full bug gun race is like 100db's. i mainly want low and mid range. just not sure. this decision sucks. anything else u could say or add??? sorry i like details

HMF is stainless steel and not supposed to rust like other pipes like my X-4 Curtis Sparks did. HMF also said that the packing in the silencer is lifetime warranty. WOW can you believe that!

PACKING....

The packing in a big gun sucks, it will blow out in 2-3 months, and yes the HMF was a lifetime warranty. I think the HMF craftsmanship is better then the big gun. I just got do putting a HMF slip-on on a 300ex. The fit was real good, and to tell you the truth it wasn't as loud as the 400ex pipe. Smaller motor less noise?:D

The pipes are powdercoated. I've got a red one and it matchs the stock honda red good. Would look good on blue also.
