need some help deciding on colors

what do you guys think? im thinking about some different colors.. im wondering how the blue hmf end cap would look along with asv blue levers?

i have to disagree there. maybe not with just levers and an endcap, but i really like the way my brothers blue frame came out. he wanted silver plastics, but never found the rears to go with the maier race cuts he has.. i personally like black accents. that would go with your engine mounts nicely.

We will have to aggree to disaggree I guess because that frame color with stock plastics looks silly. Blue and Grey would have been perfect but, with a frame like that he needs different colored plastics.

i agree that the silvers would look great, but at 15 its kinda hard to come across the money he needs to get the matching rears. i like the blue and its starting to come together with little accents like the blue badge on the e series he got from oleboy87. heres a pic of when he was just trying to get an idea of what it would look like. just like anything else, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. also, oleboy, i noticed you have a bunch of black parts. i think you're best sticking with that scheme. you have a very nice looking 400 btw.

im not really a fan of red asv levers. they're almost a pink-red. i would exchange mine for a black one if i could.

wher is everyone getting their black seats? I've always wanted a black seat. Are you getting a yellow 400ex replacement or are they covers from a company?

i got that one off ebay for like $20 and it cost me 30 to put on but if you have the know how then it will only cost to get the seat cover.. you can get the full seat on ebay for 60 dollars

I think hornetgod needs an imagination...not everyone has to have a same old same old red and black 400ex. It's nice to stand out.

oleboy I think it would look good with blue junk on it. Bars/pad/levers/nerfs to be exact. Hell...do some blue rims. PC or Anadized...:D These are just toys, people...make them look like toys.

Ha, Ha.. If only my PC oven was a little larger!!

I am going to PC my Big Gun cannister and the exhaust Heat shield Stealth Black next week. My new stainless FMF header and the Big Gun stainless "mid pipe" section are going off to the electropolisher next week for a mirror polish. I think it will look good. and certainly better than it does now.....

nice looking bike. but seriously whats a bike if it looks good but works like sh*t. i mean say someone puts 5 grand into the "looks" part of it and doesnt touch their motor and someone puts 5 grand into the motor but their bike looks like crap, who you think is most likely to win either on the track or the dragstrip?

Are you saying my bike runs like sh*t? I think I lost you there. My quad looks good and runs even better. I doubt your comment was directed at me.

Ultimately, it comes down to the owner. Whatever she or he is happy with. I find it amusing that people need someone else to make up there mind on color choices.

You're right about one thing. Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder. Everyone has different taste when it comes to quads. Not any two are the same once they are moded.

Reading tanner's post about having a bike run bad made me crack up thinking it was directed at hornetgod. Hornetgod's 400ex is my one of my favorite ATVs in this entire site. Not only does it have nice mods and looks awesome, but from what he has posted it runs even better with numerous engine mods. All i can say to him is great job on making such a nice 400ex.

As to Oleboy, just choose what you think looks best. As its been said "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," the beauty of your bike might not be seen in other's eyes, but your's are the only ones that count with your ATV.

Thanks! I've put a lot more money into the performance than the looks. If I cared only for looks, I would have powder coted the frame months ago.

Back to the original topic. If he finds a silver rear plastic to match the front one, it will look fantastic with the blue frame. In fact, in the Honda Parts for Sale Forum there's a guy selling silver plastics right now.

no no man. your bike is sick and you can tell you did more than just body work. that was not directed to you. dont worry. i was actually agreeing with your second comment on how its funny that people need help deciding on colours. so dont worry im not directing anything at you ;)

now i agree with you. thats what i was trying to say. hornet has all the other things like the arms, pipe, shocks etc, etc. and ya its probably the sickest 400 ive seen too and i bet she works better than a 450. its people like that that i like. make an awesome quad all the way around.
