Is anyone have problems with the swingarm clearance in the woods?

Throw the factory skid plate away and install a tight fitting aluminum or stainless plate and it's not too bad!

i believe the ground clearance is 5.2 which is better than most the 450's.. ive only been in the woods for about 10 minutes of riding so far because ive been having some coolant leaking problems but i havent been high centered..id say getting some holeshot HD's or razr2 will help the clearance issue but if your bike is stock you will loose alittle bit of power because they weigh alittle more

Is there a aftermarket company you suggest manufacturing a ‘tight fitting plate’? I’m running the X-Package swing arm plate purchased at my dealer. Over the weekend I had a lot of high centering problem, even with running razr2, on a practice tract that isn’t even close to a rutted out Undilla.

Im having a problem with my stock skid plate scooping up dirt and locking the chain up when going over hills or in ruts.

What kind of skid plates are people using?

Take the factory X- package aluminum plate and cut about 1/2 " off the rear mounting spacers that are welded to the plate.
It makes the plate go up tighter against the sprocket and rotor!
Can also cut and reweld the rear section behind the plate to round it up on the end!

I will probly try that. Is that what you run?
