1999 400ex what stage

as you know it a 1999 400ex it has a full yoshimura exhaust system fixen to get the jets and the filter . i was looking to get the UNI filter but every one i look at says for stage 2.i need to know what stage i am, and does it matter with the filter.

I don't know what the stage is all about. I do know the 400ex UNI filter is the same as the 450r, so you could just check part numbers to make sure you're ordering the right one.
