is the GT Thinder rear suspension kit a good deal? does anyone have it? is there any other companys that can do it cheaper or better? its a revalve, new spring, a link, and service the rear shock.

i shipped my shocks out to C&D for a complete rebuild and but i dont know if theirs includes a link but he has a profile on here so maybe pm him and see what he has. he has good prices also to offer.

I have the GT thunder link and revalve for cross country.

Yes you have to raise your airbox. Yes you need to move you exhaust out so it does not smash on your brake caliper. With the link it lowers the backend of your quad for better shock travel and lower center of gravity. Some people state that they had to cut there swingarm GUARD for the link to fit. I dod not have to.

It is awesome if you do it.

C&D claims to get performance comparable to GT Thunder using the stock link. Thus, no mods required besides shock revalve/respring. You can go Zero Preload on the rear shock and lower your bike too.

I do like the GT thunder. BUT i do wish i would of went thru TSC and had do my shock they also anodize it when they do it so it looks like a brand new shock.

GT Thunder did my rear shock, revalve and respring. I also have the link and it is great. I didn't move my air box at all? I did have to space out the exhaust though. All good.

how hard is it to space out the exhaust? and i have an aluminum air box that holds the battery too, so would i still have to move it up?

would it be ok for mx? i do a little mx and some trail riding and XC racing too.

Its perfect for MX. NOthing to spacing out the exhaust, simply get a few washers or a spacer.

How much is C&D charging you?

I think it was 360 for GT Thunder to respring/revalve to my weight plus the rear link shipped.

When I called them last year I was shocked at the price because a 2006 dirtwheels advertised the iShock revalve/respring rear for $150!!!! then in 2007 I called them and it was $289 or somewhere around there

well im getting all 3 of mine rebuilt so idk how much it would be for just the rear. you can always call them up and ask yourself. colby's a great guy to deal with. but for all 3 for a complete conversion was $800

I believe the C&D rear is around $380 for a dual rate with zero preload. Just a revalve and single rate is less.

I too have a rebuilt rear shock and link from GT Thunder. It works GREAT! I wouldn't let anyone else touch my shocks.
