This is my first 4 wheeler with a manual clutch. Is it ok to shift without the clutch after i take off? It shifts real easy but I didnt know if i was supposed to clutch it everytime i shift. I new to this stuff. Just wanna make sure im not doing anything wrong

its a synchronized transmission, you really only need to clutch when starting or dropping gears to stop.
ya can do the same thing with a 4 speed car ,do it all the time with my ford ranger ,but on a quad you dont have a neutral between gears ,way easier

it won't hurt it if you do it properly. DO NOT SHIFT WHILE UNDER POWER. meaning don't shift with the throttle on. let off the throttle for a sec and shift while it is off throttle.

shifting while under power will damage the trans. can bend the shift forks and mess up the gears.

have done it for years. never a problem. the only time i use the clutch is from take off. or feathering out of a corner.
