alright i have scrached up white fenders on my R and while the motor is blown i have been thinking about things to do.... now i was thinking.... what if i sanded the fenders satring with like 80 grit going all the way to 2000 grit to get all the deep scraches out and to hopefully take down a layer or so and then i buffed them with buffing compound.... would they look new again?

try pc's plastic renew, I used it once and it worked real nice.

I've done this to a few fenders and what not. After i got the stracthes out i sprayed them with automotive clear from a gun.
Holds up great for me.

the answer to your question is no.. they will not look new again. there are other options though.

yea its definetely possible...there are a few ways of doing it but check this thread out, this guy restored his blaster plastics with GREAT results.
