my quad.. needs work big time

this is my 2004 400ex.. i know it looks pretty crudy .. lol needs to be cleaned up

but this is where it went from bone stock

I guess I'm not feelin' it here, why does your quad need "big time" work? I think for a jobless kid you're doing really good.

Besides being dirty I dont think it looks that bad really alittle TLC and it will look like new, you got some good shocks in the front so thats a running start. After all you don't need everything at once you gotta plan which way you wanna go with the quad.

the plastics/ headlight are garbage
seat is ripped
bent bars
stock bent pipe :D
nerfs are bent
bearings are probably all shot ..
it just seems kinda trashed too me when i look at other quads.. but i also dont have a job haha workin on that one

grandma needs to quit wrtien 12 dollar checks for the b day hahaha

just think someone with no quad would love that thing. the way I see it is if it looks clean with no nics or dents then you arnt riding hard enough. just my 2 cents

oh theres plenty of nic and dents
i ride hard enough that its been rebuilt

Buy some chrome spray paint from Wally world (looks like the stock silver atleast on suzukis) Spray paint the a arms, buy yourself some bearings from pivot works. Start out with the rear axle bearings, then wheel bearings, then make sure to take out your pivot bolt and grease it up. Put a little armorall on the plastic, fix the seat or get a new seat cover. THen she will look good.

got a lonestar carrier with dual row sealed bearings
just broke the left lower a arm over the weekend
broke the valve cover plastice are completley trash now they are no brakets at all holding them on ..i flipped 3-4 times because of the ice

and ive got my lowrider on ebay hopefully ill be able to get my plastics

why dont you buy something good for your bike a-arms,shocks etc. plastics are last..:rolleyes:

sounds like a plan but I wouldnt waste my money on black plastic! It scratchs so easily and shows up really good!

well the reason i wanna go with black is because

1. me and my brother are thinking about starting our own team and our color thing was gonna be black and then you pic your own accent color
2. my accent color is going too be red


and now i think im gonna go with what my88r said
i found a deal on some +1 roll design a arms (which happend to be red) and im jus gonna have my buddy weld some new tabs on the plastics with his plastic welder and make it through this season with them
