Alright the clutch on my truck has been going for a long time now, well today after church I got home and I slowed down in my driveway, and I went to speed up again and it finally gave out, and wouldn't move. I need to know what all I need to replace. Just the pressure plates? Or would I be better off getting a clutch kit? It is a 1993 Chevy K1500. Thanks

You can get everything for under $200. For that low of a price I'd just change it all.

Says invalid item...I can find a "clutch kit" from summit for 120 bucks though. I think I'll get that.

You are not going to want to do this twice. Do it right the first time.... Get a new clutch plate, pressure plate, and a new throwout bearing.

make sure the flywheel isnt bad either, if its been going for a while and actually completely gave out the flywheel might be gouged, if its pretty bad you should be able to get it resurfaced pretty cheap

thankfully someone said something.

Yes check your fly wheel. If it's kinda bad, it wouldn't be a half bad idea to look at the starter as well. Also, if you drop the tranny, before you pull the shifter off, MAKE SURE IT'S IN NEUTRAL! You'll save yourself a huge headache.

Most clutch manufacturers require that the flywheel be resurfaced or the warranty will be void. Spend the $30-40 extra, and save your receipt for this, that way if you have an issue down the line, you're covered.

Alright. My vo-tech instructor owns a machine shop, so he would most likely do it for me for free.
