atv twist throttle

hey i have a question. if i bought a trist throttle for my trx 300ex would i need a bigger carb or any other thing nessisary?

no, basicly the twist throtle is another way of controling the butterfly in your carb. so instead of pushing with your thumb you would twist your wrist.

no, make sure you get the kit made for your quad.

ok thx, i was just wondering because one atv throttle said i needed a like 40mm (random) carb and another one sais i just needed the stock one.

it was a kit for that carb thats why

No you don't need a new carb, U just take the slide out, pull the spring up, take the cable, push it down and to the side and it comes out, (if you have the tube and cable) and you can adjust it at the twist by where the cable comes out, if you pull the plastic case that's over it there's an adjustemtn thhat pulls the cable in. I mean I've just put an old one that I had from one of my dirtbikes and its worked fine. i didn't even replace the cable.

not exactly the same topic but im gunna buy a twist throtle for my 300ex and if i later put a 400ex carb on would it still work?
