KFX Green Plastic White Spots?

Anyone on here have an older KFX that is getting white spots on the plastic? What are you doing for it? It seams as thought the plastic is oxidizing on the surface and then turning white. I have been sanding it off, going to try some kind of paint (Krylon Fusion I guess) to try to cover up the spots. I believe it may be a defect in the plastic polymer that was used on the older bikes, as I have seen a few on ebay with the same strange whiteness going on...

Is it stress spots? First thing that came to mind is when the plastic stretches or gets bent, it kinda makes a whitish stretch mark. As far as i know this is unavoidable unless you want to baby the thing forever.

I could be thinking of something different though.

i had a green 03 kfx...first year for em so thats as old as they get and i didnt have that problem at all what-so-ever. you rolling it over a lot or...? i've never heard of that happening but...i dunno
