i have a 07 trx 450er and we just did some work to the motor and compressiona nd everything is set perfect but the batterie just doesnt have enough juice to crank the engine over. Me and my dad want to change it into a kick what all will have to be done and what will the final cost be

I had a buddy who had the same problem as you.

He just wired in another batterie just like the one on his R. So now he has 2 batteries and ti cranks his ER fine.

well at times i love the electric start but at times i hate it. every bike i owned was a kick start. I Think it is alot more easier running a kick cause they will crank over easyier and you also have a hot start. We also want to eliminate the batterie for weight reasons.we do everything we can to make out bikes lighter

so why did u buy elec. start if your gonna take it all out to make it lighter?

haha funny you asked that. brand new bike from my local dealer they didnt have any kicks and i was in a pintch at the time and the price was right with my sponcor ship cost and everything else lol i really didnt have to pay all that much so that is y i am with a eletric i just couldnt pass the deal up i got one of our local pros working on the bike now

yeah i think around 1000 im not sure tho thats what it is for a yfz 450

service honda, about $600
you also need the plug to replace the starter, pull the side cover and remove all the starter gears, the one on the crank shaft disasemble the bear and gear and put the gear holder back on the crank, this will remove weight and lighten the crank at the same time.:D
