Whats the best direction to mount them for better braking.
Is it backwards like this / \ looking at it from the front?
Just want to make sure......

I'm not sure I've seen them run both directions. I would just put them on one drection and run them then swap them around and see which direction best sutied your riding style.

They have an arrow to tell you, but I have found that they have a tendancy to pull in loomy conditions, I run them backwards to avoid this.

Ive tried both ways now and i prefer running them backwards. Seems to pull out of ruts a little better and more controlled.

I run them backwards as well, they seem to track a little better.

Sounds like backwards would be better for xc then right?

For me i run them forwards the way the arrows go. Never had a problem at all.

I was looking through an issue of dirtwheels that had some photos of pro class GNCC rides. I noticed that Bill Balance had them backwards and Chris Borich had them forwards. So i guess it really is up to the rider which you think works best for you.
