Do u have a kill switch installed? Did u remove the key?

How do u know its over heating? What signs is it giving?

Im sure he will say his warning light is coming on.(if he still has the temp warning light) I have an 05 and my warning light has only come on one time in 2 years. And that was with 20 to 30 minutes of doing donuts in sand and revving the hell out of it. It takes alot for these things to overheat usually. The part about the key switch removed has to do with the fan because 06's and up have four wires. removing the key theres two wires that need to be put together to make sure the fan still works. So yeah answering those two questions will be a big help.

also my fan only comes on when the quad is sitting still ideling or riding super slow for a period of time.

i would get an infared temp gun and shoot the themo and see what a few areas are reading. Someone might of just grouned out your fan so it stays on all the time and the fan could of crapped out. Theres many things you need to check out ,but first need more info

the warning heating light has never turned on so far...and it spits out the coolant throughout a hose the egine gets really hot and it starts to like smoke not a lot but it does.

Also yes i do have my kill switch installed.

Yeah what he said, this is the most common reason for the fan not kicking on.
Has the fan ever worked since u put the kill switch on?

Also, whats ur jetting?

What are ur engine mods?
Airbox lid on? exhaust?

116 is pretty much stock jetting.

He said he has the air box lid on.

I've never jetted a bike with the lid on still so I can't really help give you a starting point.
But with a full exhaust and K&N it should be jetted richer then stock I would think.
Removing the lid is what makes the biggest difference in jetting, even if u have a full exhaust, the lid is still limiting the air.

450rRuleZ is there any reason why u are keeping the lid on? Removing it gives a really big power improvement and we can help you with ur jetting more if you do.

Also the option of the HRC style lid or an outerwears filter cover.
Outerwears do an amazing job of keeping mud/water/sand out.
