I'm taking my1986 250R to get powder coated and I cant decide which colors to use as a scheme. These are the parts I'm taking in:

Frame
Steering Stem and Handlebar Mount
Stock A-arms and knuckles
All 3 Brake Calipers
Rear Brake Master Cylinder
Rear Brake Lever (polish instad?)
Foot Pegs
Wheel Hubs (Running ITP Polished Wheels)
Swing arm
Front Brake Master Cylinder Body and Lever
Front Light Guard Bracket

I will have:
White Maier Fenders
Blue Gas Tank
Blue and Black Duncan Racing Seat

Post some pics of your creation if you dont mind me using your ideas. Thanks!

I am not planning on letting it sit looking pretty, I plan on beating the crap out of it one more year! Unless someone buys it before I get a chance.

Thanks everyone! Ride On!

First off, I don't think anyone is going to want to powder coat those stock arms because you cant take the ball joints off.

To your main topic, I think you should keep the frame red/swing arm red (trans red) and those plastics white would look killer. Just a nice Red/White scheme would look good in my opinion.

I would go with a blue frame if you have a blue gas tank already.

YOU ARE RIGHT! I thought they could run the a-arms through the oven with the ball joints, as one would in a regular paint and body shop, but nope! I should have listened to your heads up and saved myself a lot of time and trouble, but thanks anyways. I am going to end up keeping the frame red.
Damn IT!
