shifting

When i go to shift sometimes it just doesnt shift. None of my other quads have ever done this. This quad is pretty new. What is causing this?

If it's a 400ex check your oil level. Sometime if it's low it can be harder to shift.

Also sometimes they don't tighten the shiftes as well as they should. Loosen it and re tighten to your adjustment. I've seen this help on 300's and 400's.....

Do you wear riding boots? If so, make sure you are letting the shift lever go all the way down between shifts. If not, it will not let the tranny set up to grab the next gear. This happened a bunch to me when i first started wearing boots. Just an idea.

It is a 400ex. I checked the oil level and its ok, the shifter seems to be fine and it goes back to where it would be at. It seems to do this pretty often. This weekend I will put new oil in it and see if that seems to help.
