I have the dobock efi controller on my kfx and its pretty easy to use. I am planning on moving mine and mountin it on the handlebars so I can adjust it on the fly.

I seen someone else do that so I am copying:D

Na thats a EFI controller.

I data logger is intalled on to a quad some how and will log the info onto a PC, then you can cehck over the info and see where your running lean and stuff.

From my understanding its like a Dyno almost

gotcha. I have never used one of them, but I have not heard anything bad about them. If I would hvave had more money I would have bought one of them.

I belive a data logger is only a tuning tool, it dosen't give any performance

is it for a sport or 4x4 quad.

does it change like rev limitor or shift points or just monitor what your motor is doing?

Its for quads, trucks, bikes, anything.

From what I read it just reads the info for you so you can adjust it.

Its alot easier and more accurate then just riding the quad and thinking its right.

With a data logger I could tune it to every 200 RPMs:D

Which 450?

a data logger strictly shows data. You need the data logger and software, you cannot change anything with a data logger.

how much do they run? Do you have to have a laptop to read it?

I have been seeing them anywhere from $100 - $1k. Some of them have a screen. and some of them you need a PC.

Then one I am thinking of is $400 and has a screen.

it would be really nice to dial everything in to near perfect running condition

Yup, That is why I am looking at them. Plus it helps you know where the lean and rich spots are:D

what do they just go in the end of the muffler, or do they measure other factors?
