What ever jetting you choose, make sure you compensate for temp!!!!!!

i have a e-series slip on, K$N with outerwear, K$N powerlid with outwears. im running the dynojet kit also. got a 170 main with 40 pilot.
elevation is 100 - 300 feet at glamis in california

not sure if that helps but it might.
if no one has any suggestion, try what dynojet says in the instructions and go from there. check plug to know where your at.

yea i no to compensate for the weather......... umm i think i heard a 155 main and 42 pilot but not sure, the jet kit says 146 main... so i only have 3 extra plugs to get the main right... so i wanna get it close the first couple tries... thanks guys

To jet for cold weather, you may have to bump the main jet up 2 or more sizes. do you have the right jets? If you jet for 70F and run the quad at 20-30F it WILL be lean.

yea i no i jet for the cold and just raise the needle as it gets warmer. so what jets?

OK...... I'm glad you know that just changing the needle position will change the whole A/F mixture across the board. Yes, richen it up as it get warmer, your quad will start to run better. Eventually you'll find a temperature / needle combination that works great!

you dont need a new plug everytime your rejet...just clean it to look like new with a wire brush each time you change jets.

good luck with jetting

ok, and zr pilot whats ur problem? the needle is a way to fine tune jetting raising the needle richens and lowering the needle leans....

You say you know to compensate for temp, yet your thinking about putting a 146 main jet as instructed from Dynojet, but what Dynojet does not tell you is those specs are for summer temps, probably 70F.

So I tell ya to compensate for winter temps.....

Then you come back and say "yea i no to compensate for the weather"

Then you say "yea i no i jet for the cold and just raise the needle as it gets warmer. so what jets?"

This tells me you don't know what you are talking about, which I guess is why you are here, but when someone tries to give you good advice, try to understand their opinion and learn rather then saying "yea i no"

I have NO problem with you.

I don't use Dynojet jets, BUT if you were using Keihin, I'd say use the following:
No lid at 70F:
Main: 165-170
Pilot: 42
Needle: 4th from the top

With lid at 70F
Main: 160
Pilot:42
Needle: #3

No lid at 30F:
Main: 170-175
Pilot: 42
Needle: 5th from the top

With lid at 70F
Main: 170
Pilot:42
Needle: #4

If cold weather, I would put in 1-2 size larger main jet and move the needle clip down one notch.
