Yes...odd question....but can anyone give me the step by step guide to setting the gap on the points....Example...Do I have to bring the motor to TDC or align a certain mark on the points inspections cover...HELP! I know that the gap setting is .012

From what I remember you measure point gap when they are supposed to be at their widest position. It's been a few years though:ermm:

Yes. line the "T" mark up with the notch on the magneto cover. Take a good phillips screwdriver and loosen the adjusting screw on the points, and gap to .012-.016". While your at it, take a emery board to the points to clean em up a bit.
