Stock Gearing for 05 TRX 400 Ex?

I have searched but cant find it. Girlfriend has an 05 TRX and I want to upgrade her chain and sprockets for spring.

I remember reading that they changed the gearing in 05 by 1 tooth at the front counter sprocket. Am I remembering this right?

Is the stock 05 gearing: 15/37. Just not sure.

I will likely drop one tooth in the front or maybe add two in the back to give her more low down. She does not race.

Any recommendations for good sprockets. Weight is not big issue so will likely go with steel.

i have an 02 and stock on mine is 15/38 but i think they went down a tooth on the 04's to 14/38 but if you want a little more low end grunt go with a 14/39... thats how i have mine set up and its great...

1999-2004 15F/38R
2005-2008 14F/39R

i would go with renthal or sunstar they last a long time as long as your chain is not too lose...
