The crank is in and it seems to be spinning freely. There is no crank play, is this a problem.

Now it spins freely but when I put the seals in it seems to tighten it up a little. Is this normal?

Thanks,
Darrell

Sounds normal.

I would have recommended to tap the bearings before installing the seals but if it's spinning freely then you should be good. I have been down the crank road a few times. The first time when I tightened the cases together it wouldn't spin but if I loosened the bolts just slightly it spun. What I found, from much help here on the forum, is that the bearings load up when installing and they needed a love tap to free up. It's worked great ever since. Good luck Darrell and have fun.

Darrell, it is normal for the seals to put a little drag in your assembly. Nothing to be alarmed by as long as the crank spins freely before you installed them.

Thanks,

I needed the reassurance. It worked great. I will post some pics of the finished product.
Thanks,
Darrell
