sometimes putting a 2x4 ontop of the tire and slowly driving up it with your car works

This is by far the easiest way, other than paying someone else to do it. I got a new truck now though and its a little heavier, and I cant stop breaking 2x4's.:ermm:

I've never had problems with rims being bent!? I'd bring them somewhere else I guess. Or do the 2x4 trick....

if you own a motorcycle, lean it up, put the kickstand on the sidewall, and slowly let the motorcycle down onto the tire. works like a charm.

On an 10" wide tire, the bike would tip over the wrong way....??? I dont think that's nearly enough weight anyways!? My Ford Ranger on a 2x4 had all it could do to pop the bead on some tires, and others it wouldn't.

I tried the truck a 2 x 4, didn't work. I got a bead breaker, alot easier and no risk of damage to your rims, best $70 I spent.

I used the drive on tire w/ truck trick alot before worked pretty good. I recently got a harbor freight tire changer/bead breaker and it was well worth the $50 for sure. Some tires i have to leave a little air in but it broke every tire down that ive thrown at it so far ;)

dude I've tried everything and I mean everything, so here's the options 3 hours of blood sweat and tears from 4 guys, or like ten bucks at major brands

i got.. this was a piece of cake. thak for all the help. by the way that 2x4 don't work. i did woit a 4x4 and it broke the board every time. this was the easyest. alls you need is a dodge ram with a 10 inch lift, a car ramp, a floor jack that will jack 21 inches, saw zaw and a screw driver
You place the car ramp (the small side) on the tire close to the rim. then place the floor jack on the car ramp. because of the angle on the car ramp the floor jack sits level. place all the **** under the truck and start jacking up the floor jack against the sway bar bracket. it just pops off. now you take a screw driver and pry out a piece of the tire bead. now take the saw zaw and cut the bead. do both side and it just falls off. i hope this helps all who post a reply..The End

I got a 60 dollar bead breaker for JCWhitney and its awesome. I can change a tire in about 10 mintues or less. and thats taking a tire off and putting a new one on.

You cut the bead? I'm guessing you didn't want to use those tires again...this probably wouldn't work for someone who wants to use them over again!

Also, what's with the double threads? You only need to ask once.
