can you post a pic?

no, i dont imagine there should be a hole in your oil tank... and if oil is getting out and getting all over your bike, than there is certainly something wrong with it...

i wouldnt continue riding it as it is...

ya you blew out your plug but theres a way to keep that from happening if you get that plug put it in doesnt half to be aftermarket and theres a bolt you could take out put an L bracket there so that bolt tightens it down and that bracket is making it so that plug cant go out

It's called a decompression plug. They put rubber ones in their and over time they blow out. On the 05's and up they put a solid cast in there and got rid of the plug. If you get the aluminum one you won't have to worry about it blowing out again. Here's a list of them http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&dfsp=1&from=R10&_trksid=m37&satitle=yfz450+decompression+plug&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=ZIP%2FPostal&sabfmts=1&saobfmts=insif&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1&fsoo=1
