On the 90's the porting seems much more aggressive and it sounds like the 50's are the same way. The extra benefit of the WC is that it makes it easy to drop in a Metrakit when you are ready.

Stock vs Stock

Air cooled seem to like top end a little more

The W/C have more bottom to mid range power.

Reality is that in the 50cc class the rider plays a significant role in outcome.

The water cooled verison is what we run and as Forgiven mentioned it does make it much easier and less expensive to upgrade to a 70cc Metrakit

Depending on your rules you may want to consider a DRX70 and converting it to a 50cc, then you would have the wider a-arms and longer axle.

Then all you need is a 50cc top end (less than $200) and when your ready for 70cc power just bolt the top end on

The tranny,CVT and frame is all the same...

To upgrade a 41" wide 50 to a 44" wide will cost about $450 MSRP if it is pieced together.

Cheapest in the long run is a 44" wide 70 converted to a 50.

Just my 2 cents...

Not to sound mean, but this topic has been covered more then once in the forum. If you search around you will find a bunch of info. In one of the threads Hetrick posted HP #'s between the W/C and A/C.

Gary(bulldogfallon) is right on with his post also. After all he is the DRR king.:D
