Frame gussets?300ex?

So far i have found no one tht makes a gussetkit for my 2001 300ex. I am i pretty good fabricator and have the ability to have a profesional weld if i dont feel confident in my welds (their pretty darn good) so i was wondering if someone could sugjest where to reinforce. how thick of steel to use, ect. thanks

That was how i did mine including the plate part in the second pic and i never had any problems.
