Also, please don't be retarded. No one is this thread is lieing. If you're jealous, its fine, but please don't stalk any of us. And lastly, please don't be retarded...if you don't have real stats to post up, dont post at all.

Those are very believable numbers. When I was a senior in High school I was 5'-6" and wresteled 140lbs. (weighed 150ish off season).

Bench Max was 245 (2 45's a 10 on each side.)
90deg Barbell Squat Max was 585 (it's all posture). (6 45lb plates on each side (that's all that would fit on the bar.)
Deadlift.. cant remember. We didn't to deadlifts all that often and not sure if we ever maxed out on them. It would be a lot lower than the squat anyway as you have to squat down far enough that you'd either screw up your back or knees. Redundant w/ excercises we were already doing anyway.

Nowdays.. probably about 200 & 200.. LOL. I'm old and out of shape.. LOL.

I know a guy that is 148 and benches 315. Thats very good, not impressive. I believe you should be able to bench your body wieght 10-12 times, and max 100 more pounds then you wieght, If you have any decent lifting time under your belt.

Chances are good that you would not mess your chest up, but you will not get the results or the quality you want out of a workout. The slower and more concentrated you do any workout the better semmetry, strength, and size gains your going to have!

Its not how much wieght you lift, but what you get out of how much wieght you lift.

185

When I bench I do two heavy sets of 245-255, 5 times. Then I drop down and do 205 10 times. Not too sure on my max because I haven't done it since the summer. But then it was 280 so I imagine I could squeeze out 300 now.

I used to be obsessed with bench but lately I've really gotten back into legs and shoulders. I don't do a heavy set on squat just because I fear for my back since it has already been hurt once. Every now and then I'll do a set of five but now all I do is 315 twelve times and then I do 255 thirty times. Gotta have some endurance for motocross. For shoulders.....well theres just too much to go into that.

alright. This is a month in of lifting....

height:6'
weight:162lbs
BF%: around 10

Reg Bench:185lbs 3x12
Dumbell Bench: 75lbs in each hand, 3x10.
Squat:260lbs, 3x10
Curl: 40lbs each hand, 3x10.
Over the head triceps: 80lb dumbell, 3x10
Abs on decline: 50 or 60lbs dumbell on chest, 3x20-30

I think i could be stronger, but im not doing real heavy weight. Id rather get the cut look then "look at me, im big as chit" lol. Also i do alot of cardio, and dont eat tons, so that affects it too.

Thats not the CUT LOOK, that is the (i haven't ate in 3 months look!) 3 sets of 10 reps is not a cutting program, its a strength and size program.
Your stats are actully good for your wieght, you need to incorperate Dumbell Incline Bench as a sub. for your Dumbell Bench. Althought don't go steep on your incline or you start taking away from your chest and end up using your shoulders.

Thats cool. I only stated that because it seemed by your stats that your chest wasn't as strong as the rest of your body. But i just reread your post and i see you do 185 for 12 reps. My bad!

Once you have some time into lifting, and get some good results it gets VERY ADDICTING. I've been lifting for almost 4 years and i am very, very addicted. Just as addicting as riding, just a different kind of addiction.

You're exactly right. I broke my hand over the summer and I was MISERABLE because I couldn't do the two things I truly enjoy doing; riding and lifting. As soon as I could do push ups, I was right back in the gym. I feel like I'm getting skinny if I miss more than two days.

I RIDE A QUAD ALL DAY JUST ABOUT EVERY DAY AND DO LAND SCAPEING

im not being mean towards any of you this IMO note! IMO
i think lifting weights is something dumb, its a waste of my time
my shop teacher said this to me one day and i'll never foreget it
theres this kid that is a wanna be great football player and is on all the powder stuff to "get stronger!" and he was bragin about how he was gonna max out his chart, and my teacher said you know
lifting is work people want to do, work is lifting people dont want to do,

my point is... i think its great that people can be in sport and lift weights and stuff... but if you wanna get strong why dont people fid a job that makes you lift things re" landscapein i have to move and 1200 blocks each weighin over 60 pounds. yeah i know your sayin 60 LBs big deal,
well you throw in all the shovelin, the sun, the heat, 1200 blocks and the walkin with them to put them on the wall and then gettin them up to the top of some of the really tall walls, its a work out.
and on top of that your gettin paid so you can put the money in yo your quad, girlfirend, car truck, whatever,

like i just said its a IMO thing,

i would have to say that ridin is more of a life thing, than a hobby.

people have there ways of relaxin... ridin my quad was mine, after i got wormed up and all of a sudden just hammered on it and rode as hard as i could for 5 some times 10 laps and tryin to say the same speed and goin a little faster, and i push it just a little bit harder the next lap,
kids at school thing im a weido and im crazy becasue i think i could tell you anything you would ever want to know and if ididnt already know you give me 15 mins and i will dig it up.

Ive been lifting for around 4-5 years, competitively for almost a year now. Since my wreck on 12/29/08 I havent been back to the gym due to knee issues, but hoping to be back in the next 2-3 weeks. Here are pre-wreck stats:

18 years old
6' tall
265 lbs
Bench: 375 *Was going to attempt 380 on 12/31/08
Squat: 750
Power Clean: 350
Dead Lift: 650 *Due to re-max soon

I frankly dont care if anyone believes me or not, I have no one here to impress. Anyone thats met me knows im a big guy. And if your willing to drive down here id be more then glad to work out with anyone.

My supplement cycle is currently Biogenetix Creatine-D2T, bundled with NO2 Black.

My diet is usually lots of protein, fiber, and potassium. Im nothing special yet but hope to be a big contender in some strongman competitions around the SE soon.

i just recently joined the gym less than a month ago and i have to say i really didnt think i would like it. im SKINNY as hell and had basically no muscles on my arms at all...one of those body types: thin, tall, and lanky. well after a month or so of working out i can really say im hooked. i already notice differences in how i feel and look. it definitly gives me more confidence and is a great way to let out energy. im 100% going to renew my months membership into a full year. i do landscaping full time as well....its the offseason now so theres very little work but i will be at the gym every night after a days worth of work. as i said before, i was skinny but not in very good shape....cardio wise and most definitly strength wise. i was 150 and would be lucky to bench 100...now im slowly but surely upping the weights and hope to be benching 145-150 within the next month or two. its nothing compared to most but when your starting out being weak as a dog its tough. i feel that making the choice to start lifting/working out will help my stamina, help me with self confidence, and overall be a great thing.

thank you and goodnight
:p

One thing you got to remember is that crunches and ab workouts make your abs stronger, harder and a little bigger. Its the dieting that burns the fat off of your stomach so that you can see the progess you've made. Your already there, so proper dieting and your stomach will be shredded in no time!

yea i just need to step it up on the cardio. I mean i do alot of stuff, but now i lift alot more it seems. I do high intensity interval training on the concept 2 rowers about 3 times a week usually for 20min(1min hard, 1min recovery). Tryin to build up my anerobic threshold for times i need it this season, lol.
