What is stopping it? Airbox, Mounts not in line? It's hard to say unless you know what is holding it up.

it's just to tight of a fit. i got three guys to help and we couldn't push it on all the way. it's got like another 3 inches to go.

If it doesnt fit maybe they sent you the wrong pipe.Should be the same size as the old 1.If it does not fit its not for your kind of quad or not your year.

on a 400ex i think that from 99 to 07 that all pipes are the same. and that's what it said on the box. and will they take it back? it got a little damaged when i was trying to get it on

this might be a dumb question, but are you using the pipe seal out of your stock muffler???

Hey brother if it doesnt fit the first time easy with 99% of the parts for a 400ex or 450r what have you you just might have the wrong part.I dont know if they will take it back damaged or not but next time try another dealer or another pipe HMF has been doing it a long time I have 1 and love it.heres a pic. Good luck

thanks for the help everyone, and if i do get it on and it is the wrong part will it be alright. because i'm taking it to a four wheeler dealer and they said they could get it on. so if they do will it be bad or will everything be fine?

As long as they get it on, it bolts up, and they don't tear it up, I don't see that there would be any problem. Hope it works out!

If they had to modifie the part is was not the part for your quad . Call the manufacturer and see if there was any modification needed for the part to be installed. then see what they say.

Some pipes just fit hella tight. I got an HMF slip- on and that fit tight as hell I'd say if both mount line up you got the right one.
