I have a 400EX and I am think it would be a fun project to tare down a CRF150R Expert and do a rebuild. And I was just wondering if anyone out there had/has one and if they liked/like theres. I was also wondering what the top speed of one is, bone stock.

Much Thanks,
Braaup

I know.. I want to keep my 400ex w/ a stock motor, and I dont have a dirtbike, so, I thought it would be a fun project, to buy a CRF150R in rough shape and fixing it up.. Thats all.

I geuss this is why it is hard to bring young (new) riders to our sport, because they are bombarded by d!ckheads. Cut the kid some slack or send me the video of you walking on water:grr:

if your talking about the 150R motocross bike, you won't find one in rough shape. they started making them in '06.

if your thinking about the 150F, the trail bike, you might be able to find a rough one. i think they started to make them in '03 i think.

but either way, you mostlikely won't find one thats in too rough of shape.

Braup, i think it would be an excellent project for you. Your only 13! right?
With the great turtorial on how to change brake pads on you tube.. it shows you have a mechanical talent . I would find a z 50 to start off with to learn the 4 stroke motor as a new crf 150 would cost a ton. You could build a pit bike and make videos all day !

That was just a stupid thing I did, lol. Plus, how'd you find me on there, nevermind. After find that they go about 65, I don't know if I want to "soup-up" the motor any, I am basically a beginner on dirtbikes, and 65 is plenty fast on a dirtbike for me, now quads on the other hand.... Also, how much is a used z50..? lol
