I have a 300ex and i have an aftermarket no name rev limiter thts limit is 11,000rpm limiter. iv run it for a while it has no curve or any thing just bumps rpm's so iv heard tht high of a limiter is pushing it so i put my stock one back in 2day to dee how it was. it seems to rev up a lil faster but at 8,000rpm i bounce it riding around my yard lol. so i wanted to know wht new box i sould get, or if any1 had a good one for sale. the more power the better my engiens slightly moded so max horse power is prefurd, thinkin around 9,000 for new one well thnks. any helps awsome thnks

ok im lookin at a big gun but im still open to other peoples ideas. but the descriptions confusing...

"Big Gun Rev Box TRX300EX (93-06) Adds up to 3 horsepower once snapped in. Comes ready to install and go. Allows RPM to rev from 9800-10500 while advancing the timing for a bit more torque on the bottom end. "...... so is the rev limiter set to 9800rpm or 10500 or somewhere in between?

thanks for any help

i have the big gun stage 1 rev box. Im not positive but i think it lets it rev to like 9500 or so. It also adds 2-3 horsepower because it improves the timing or sometin like that they said. I deffinetly noticed a huge difference and love the edge it gives me in the top end.

That would be their rpm tolerance range. The stock limit is nowhere close to 9800rpms. You'll unlikley ever get your 300ex above 9800 (unless you don't know how to shift out of 1st gear, lol). Anything maxing out around 9500rpm's should be plenty.

Your previous unit was probably just a modified stock unit.
